xcom 2 alien rulers not showing up

I recently got it for sale on the Switch and decided to try and iron man it. When you're playing War of the Chosen the best way I've found to avoid the alien rulers is to activate the dlc in the campaign settings and avoid the mission. The rulers won't show up at all if you never complete that mission. On my first run after purchasing the DLC. I've played for almost 12 (in-game) months. Does it maybe only trigger in my starting region/continent because I liberated my starting region fairly early and I have HQs available in the other two zones so I haven't been scanning for missions there actively. POIs only occur when you beat missions that have them as a reward. It's not Always the best tool for the job, but it has it's moments. Had fun and stopped playing it. The main selling point for Alien Hunters is the introduction of a new set of Ruler aliens, which enter your game after you complete a new story mission that's tense and well designed.The story surrounding the rulers involves Central, your right-hand-man on the Skyranger, tracking down clues surrounding technology and staff from the "original" XCOM project (depicted in the 2012 game). XCOM2. As a last resort you could maybe you can look into how to uninstall DLC off of your device, if that's possible? I've already found the console commands to get the various alien armors you get from the rulers but that's a last resort for me. I've been looking for any fix for this for a while, but google has let me down. Seems like the Alien Hunters dlc mission to start the process of the Rulers appearing refuses to pop up. I completed the Viper nest mission and killed the viper ruler but as soon as I returned to the map I got hit with the UFO mission and the Berserker ruler is showing up. Hi folks. XCOM2. I ended up losing that one (surprise berserker queen), and started a normal legend one which I thought I would have a choice to decide when the Viper king and suck would show up..... obviously was super surprised when I encounter the first viper and the VK is there. I lost 5 soldiers and that save file is done. Its funny, cause in my last campaign with pretty much all the same mods, the mission appeared as normal. While it might look random to most people, they usually arrive in the midst of a heated battle. I guess the Switch version has the DLCs integrated, but I did the alien nest mission and spark mission not knowing the consequences. Is that not the case on Switch? Alien Hunters was the first real content pack for XCOM 2, adding three new enemy bosses, three new suits of armour and four weapons, as well as a single mission where Bradford/Central is deployed to investigate these new enemies.
